Fräulein Kleidsam: Online Vintage Clothing Shop
Project Details
While the Fräulein Kleidsam online shop provided a pleasant and organized browsing experience for users, the checkout process had become unreliable due to an outdated system. I moved the entire online shop to WordPress, including customer accounts and product inventory, and implemented numerous improvements to the overall site functionality.
Project Tasks
Migration
The entire content of the website was migrated from PrestaShop to WordPress. The site design and functionality remains almost identical, except for some planned improvements.
Inventory Management
Custom inventory management was necessary due to the unique business model of the shop. Stock management is set-up to accommodate one item for each product.
Shipping Zones
Shipping rates are calculated automatically on the checkout page, and are based on the total weight of the order and the destination country.
Stripe Integration
The online shopping cart uses Stripe to offer multiple payment options including PayPal, credit card and Sofort (bank transfer method common in Europe).
Newsletter
The newsletter plugin is built into the WordPress admin so the shop owner can create emails and manage contacts while logged into WordPress.
Customer Accounts
Customers have the option to create an account to keep track of their order(s), add or edit account details, or save items to their wish list.
